Looking for house painters in Point Piper? Proview Painting delivers interior and exterior house painting, commercial and strata painting, timber deck and exterior timber restoration and pressure washing across Point Piper and the surrounding suburbs — fully licensed, insured and Dulux Accredited.
Painting a Point Piper home is mostly a question of access, preparation and discretion — the topcoat is the last part of the job, not the hardest. Many of the homes here sit on steep blocks with multi-level harbour elevations, and that shapes how we plan, price and run every project.
Ladders don't suit a steep block with several levels of exposed elevation, so scaffold is standard on most Point Piper exteriors. We price it into the quote upfront rather than adding it later, so there are no surprises — and proper access is what lets the finish on gables, eaves and upper walls match the finish at eye level.
On homes at this level, preparation is most of the job. Surfaces are filled, sanded, sealed and primed — with the correct primer for each substrate — before a topcoat goes on, because a flawless finish is built underneath. Waterfront exteriors also take salt air, moisture and UV, which is why we specify Dulux exterior systems suited to coastal conditions.
Crews are small and consistent, and we work around household routines, security and neighbours. Inside, work is done room by room in a sequence agreed with you before we start, so the house stays liveable: furniture is moved to the centre of each room and covered, floors are sheeted, and we clean up before moving on.
Interior work covers walls and ceilings as well as doors, architraves, skirtings, window frames and joinery, with the right sheen chosen for each surface — a washable low-sheen on walls, and the appropriate sheen for wet areas, ceilings and trim.

Walls, ceilings, heritage cornicing, timber joinery and staircase timbers were prepared and painted.

We help you choose the right palette and finish to suit your home and goals, including the right sheen for walls, ceilings, trim and wet areas.
The quote includes a start date and an estimated number of working days. Scaffold, where the elevations need it, is priced in from the start — and if preparation turns up more than expected, we tell you early rather than rushing the finish.
We clean up at the end of every day and finish with a walk-through together — we don't leave until you're happy. The work is backed by our 5-year written workmanship guarantee, and if something isn't right within that period, we'll fix it.
We also paint in nearby Darling Point, Double Bay, Rose Bay, Bellevue Hill and Vaucluse.

A common-property repaint on a strata block in Mosman. Inside the common areas: walls, ceilings, unit doors and door frames. Outside: balcony railings, balcony fascias and the soffits underneath them, plus the external doors to the common areas. The old green scheme was taken back to charcoal and white. We also pressure washed the exterior and did the car park line marking.

For the large homes typical of Point Piper, interiors run $12,000-$30,000+ and exteriors $15,000-$40,000+. Heritage full interiors sit in the same $12,000-$30,000+ bracket. The spread comes down to scaffold access on harbourside elevations, the condition of existing surfaces, and the level of finish specified — on these homes, preparation is most of the job.
Yes, that's work we do regularly. Older Point Piper homes with lime render need breathable coating systems — sealing them under standard acrylics traps moisture and blows the render off. Anything pre-1970 gets tested for lead and handled to AS 4361.2 lead-safe practice, with proper containment and disposal.
Scaffold is standard for most Point Piper exteriors — steep blocks and multi-level harbour elevations don't suit ladders, so we price scaffold into the quote upfront rather than adding it later. Crews are small and consistent, the site is left tidy every day, and we work around household routines, security and neighbours without fuss.
We hold NSW painter licence 254277C and carry full public liability and workers compensation insurance. Every project is backed by a 5-year workmanship guarantee — in writing, not a handshake. Neil Huggett has run Proview Painting since 2004, and the business is Dulux Accredited.
Call 0416 070 326 or send the form and we will reply within 24 hours; we typically visit within 2–3 business days. Neil comes to you, and the written quote is free, no-obligation and itemised. Yes — you don't need to move out. Interiors are done room by room in a sequence agreed with you before we start, so the house stays liveable. Furniture is moved to the centre of each room and covered, floors are sheeted, and we clean up before moving on. Crews are small and consistent, and we work around household routines, security and neighbours.
We're a Dulux Accredited painter, so it's mostly Dulux. Exteriors get Dulux Weathershield, a premium 100% acrylic system, over the correct primer for the substrate, and every quote names the exact product line and the number of coats. Waterfront exteriors also face salt air, moisture and UV, so we specify systems suited to coastal conditions and begin with thorough surface preparation.
