Looking for house painters in Bellevue Hill? Proview Painting delivers interior and exterior house painting, commercial and strata painting, timber deck and exterior timber restoration and pressure washing across Bellevue Hill and the surrounding suburbs — fully licensed, insured and Dulux Accredited.
Bellevue Hill's larger homes — Federation and interwar houses alongside modern residences — mean big wall areas, older rendered surfaces and two-storey access. Those three things decide how a job is planned and priced.
A full exterior repaint covers render, fascias, eaves and trims, with every surface filled, sanded, sealed and primed before a topcoat goes on. Older lime-rendered walls need a breathable coating system, and anything built before 1970 is treated as containing lead paint until it's tested, so preparation follows lead-safe practice under AS 4361.2.
Gable ends and upper rendered walls aren't safely reached from a ladder, so scaffold is the norm on most of the larger homes. We price it into the quote up front, not afterwards, and we tell you early if preparation turns up more than expected rather than rushing the finish.
Big blocks mean mature gardens. We protect hedges and garden beds before any surface preparation or pressure washing starts, and we use drop sheets and careful masking around the house.
Timber can be restored as part of the same project — deck oiling and restoration is one of our services. At our Camp Cove project the verandah timbers, balustrade, window frames and columns were stained and oiled.

A Victorian terrace with heritage cornicing, timber staircases with turned balusters, ornate fireplaces and French doors. The exterior — rendered face, cast iron lacework balcony, window surrounds, columns and front fence — was repainted in the same project.

Walls, ceilings, heritage cornicing, timber joinery and staircase timbers were prepared and painted.

View the project →We quote a fixed price after a walk-through rather than over the phone — scaffold access and the amount of rendered wall are the two biggest variables. Call Neil on 0416 070 326 or use the form; we get back to you within 24 hours.
We help you choose the right palette and finish, with sensitive colour selection for older homes and character properties, including the right sheen for walls, ceilings, trim and wet areas.
The quote includes a start date and an estimated number of working days. Hedges and garden beds are protected before any preparation starts, and we tell you early if preparation turns up more than expected.
We clean up at the end of every day and finish with a walk-through together — we don't leave until you're happy. The work is backed by our 5-year written workmanship guarantee.
We also paint in nearby Darling Point, Rose Bay, Double Bay, Point Piper and Vaucluse.

A common-property repaint on a strata block in Mosman. Inside the common areas: walls, ceilings, unit doors and door frames. Outside: balcony railings, balcony fascias and the soffits underneath them, plus the external doors to the common areas. The old green scheme was taken back to charcoal and white. We also pressure washed the exterior and did the car park line marking.

For the larger family homes Bellevue Hill is known for, budget $12,000-$30,000+ for a full interior and $15,000-$40,000+ for an exterior. A more standard three-bedroom interior runs $6,000-$12,000, and a single room $600-$1,500. Scaffold access and the amount of rendered wall are the two biggest variables, which is why we quote a fixed price after a walk-through rather than over the phone.
Often, yes. Older lime-rendered walls need breathable coating systems — seal them with the wrong acrylic and trapped moisture makes the paint fail early. Anything built before 1970 is also treated as containing lead paint until tested, so preparation follows lead-safe practice under AS 4361.2. We've been working on homes of this era since 2004.
On most of the larger homes here, yes. Ladders alone don't give safe access to gable ends and upper rendered walls, and rushed access shows in the finish. Scaffold is priced into the quote up front, not added later, and we protect hedges and garden beds before any surface prep or pressure washing starts.
Yes. Neil Huggett holds NSW painter licence 254277C, and the business carries public liability and workers compensation insurance. We've been painting in the eastern suburbs since 2004, we're Dulux Accredited, and every job comes with a 5-year written workmanship guarantee.
It should name the exact product line and the number of coats, describe how each surface will be prepared and primed, and show scaffold and access as a priced line rather than an extra later. Ours also give a start date and an estimated number of working days, and are itemised so you can see where the money goes.
Yes. Deck oiling and restoration is one of our services, and every deck job starts with a proper clean and sand rather than a coat over grey timber. Doors, windows, gates and pergolas are treated the same way. See our deck and timber restoration page.
Yes — interiors and exteriors, including pre-sale repaints and feature walls. Interiors are done room by room in a sequence agreed with you before we start, so the house stays liveable, with furniture moved to the centre of each room and covered and floors sheeted.
