Dulux AccreditedBondi is one of Sydney's most iconic and in-demand suburbs — a vibrant mix of Art Deco apartment buildings, weatherboard beach cottages, modern townhouses and prestige homes. The coastal environment presents unique challenges for exterior surfaces, with salt air and UV exposure accelerating paint wear and requiring products specifically rated for coastal conditions.
Proview Painting has traded since 2004, and we understand exactly what these properties need. We use premium Dulux exterior products formulated for coastal environments, always thoroughly clean and prepare surfaces first, and ensure every coat is applied to the manufacturer's specification for a finish that lasts.
From refreshing an Art Deco facade on Campbell Parade to a full interior repaint of a beachside apartment, every job gets the same care and attention. Call Neil on 0416 070 326 for a free quote.

Bondi mixes Art Deco walk-up blocks, weatherboard beach cottages, modern townhouses and prestige homes, and each one needs a different approach before a brush goes near it.
Most of Bondi's Art Deco walk-up blocks are strata-titled, so the facade is common property and the owners corporation pays for it from the capital works fund. The strata manager gets the full compliance pack before we start — licence 254277C, insurance certificates and a site-specific SWMS — and a committee-ready quote. Curved render, original steel windows and decorative banding are what makes these buildings worth doing properly; our guide to painting Art Deco apartments in Bondi covers the render assessment and authentic colour schemes in full.
On a weatherboard cottage paint fails first along the bottom edge of each board, where salt and water sit before working their way in. Preparation means scraping loose coats back to a sound edge, feather-sanding the transition, and priming bare cedar or other tannin-rich boards with a stain-blocking primer, before two full coats of a coastal-rated system go on — not a quick sand and one coat over the top.
Townhouses and the prestige homes on Bondi's higher streets get the same full system as anywhere else we work: sealer or primer where the surface needs it, then two full finish coats, with the right sheen for wet areas, ceilings and high-traffic living spaces. We never thin a coat or skip one to finish early, because the guarantee depends on the system being applied properly.
Bondi's front-row streets take direct onshore salt, and a properly prepared exterior on those elevations runs about 5–7 years before it needs attention, stretching to 7–10 years a few streets back. Salt is hygroscopic — it pulls moisture out of the air and holds it against the paint film — so every coastal exterior we do starts with a wash before a scraper or brush touches the house.
A pre-sale refresh is one of the services we offer in Bondi, and an exterior sitting at year seven or eight on the coast is worth doing before the campaign photos rather than after the building inspection. For a turnaround between tenants, a single room runs $600–$1,500 and a full interior $6,000–$12,000 as a 2026 guide, with heavy wear and patching pushing the number toward the top of that range.

A common-property repaint on a strata block in Mosman. Inside the common areas: walls, ceilings, unit doors and door frames. Outside: balcony railings, balcony fascias and the soffits underneath them, plus the external doors to the common areas. The old green scheme was taken back to charcoal and white. We also pressure washed the exterior and did the car park line marking.

As a 2026 guide: a single room $600–$1,500, a typical 3-bedroom interior $6,000–$12,000, and a full exterior $8,000–$25,000+. Bondi exteriors often need extra preparation because salt and UV break down previous coatings faster, and that prep is what drives the price.
Yes — both are Bondi staples. Art Deco blocks usually need render repair, careful colour matching to original schemes and strata coordination; weatherboard cottages need timber repairs and a full sand-prime-topcoat system. We handle both regularly.
Properly prepared and using coastal-rated Dulux systems, expect 7–10 years on a Bondi exterior a few streets back, and 5–7 years on elevations taking direct salt spray. A cheap job on poor prep can start failing in two.
Yes. NSW painter licence 254277C, ABN 48 380 838 464, full public liability and workers compensation, and a 5-year written workmanship guarantee on every job.
Yes. Anything built before 1970 is treated as containing lead paint until it has been tested, and preparation follows AS 4361.2 lead-safe practice, with containment and disposal — common on Bondi's older Art Deco blocks and weatherboard cottages.
Yes — we can colour-match existing walls, trims or a reference you love, so touch-ups, extensions and adjoining areas blend seamlessly. On an Art Deco block that can include matching from original paint fragments if the committee wants to go back toward the building's original scheme.
Yes — you don't need to move out. Interiors are done room by room in a sequence agreed with you before we start, with furniture moved to the centre of each room and covered and the floors sheeted, so the house stays liveable.
