Dulux AccreditedProview Painting provides professional house painting services in Vaucluse and throughout Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. For coastal and heritage homes, the quote covers the surfaces to be repainted, timber and metalwork preparation, and access to upper storeys. Harbour-facing and ocean-facing elevations are assessed individually so the preparation and coating system suit their exposure.

Vaucluse sits on South Head, with harbour and ocean exposure on many elevations. On homes this exposed, the specification and the preparation matter more than the colour — they are what decides how long the finish lasts.
The sequence matters: salt washing first, then repairs and rust treatment on any steel, then the correct primer for each substrate, then a coastal-rated topcoat. Exteriors get Dulux Weathershield — a premium 100% acrylic system — over the primer for the substrate, and every quote names the exact product line and number of coats.
Exposed elevations need re-coating sooner than sheltered ones, and we'll tell you which is which. On any exterior, timber, trim and the north- and west-facing walls tend to wear out first, so repainting those on their own can stretch the interval on the rest. Our guide to how long exterior paint lasts near the beach goes into the detail.
Larger Vaucluse homes usually need scaffold or other height access, run under safe work method statements. Access is priced upfront, and we give you a written program so you know what's happening each week.
Exposed timber and trim tend to wear out first. At our Camp Cove project the cedar weatherboards were sanded back and repaired, and the verandah timbers, balustrade, window frames and columns were stained and oiled.
These projects show our coastal timber, heritage and apartment work. They are in Watsons Bay, Potts Point and Elizabeth Bay; they are examples of our work nearby, rather than projects in Vaucluse:

A classic weatherboard cottage at Camp Cove. The cedar weatherboards were sanded back, repaired and repainted in Dulux Weathershield® Low Sheen, and the verandah timbers, balustrade, window frames and columns were stained and oiled.

A Victorian terrace where the old lime plaster was carefully removed from the staircase wall, and the original sandstock brick beneath was stabilised with a penetrating sealer and left as a feature. Walls, ceilings, heritage cornicing, timber joinery and staircase timbers were prepared and painted.

A waterfront apartment with sweeping views across the bay. Walls, ceilings, joinery, kitchen cabinetry and hallways were prepared and repainted, with walls and ceilings in Dulux Wash&Wear® Low Sheen.

We help you choose the right palette and finish to suit your home and goals, including the right sheen for walls, ceilings, trim and wet areas.
You get a written program so you know what is happening each week, along with a start date and an estimated number of working days. If preparation turns up more than expected, we tell you early rather than rushing the finish.
We clean up at the end of every day and finish with a walk-through together — we don't leave until you're happy. The work is backed by our 5-year written workmanship guarantee.
We also paint in nearby Darling Point, Rose Bay, Bellevue Hill, Double Bay and Point Piper.

A common-property repaint on a strata block in Mosman. Inside the common areas: walls, ceilings, unit doors and door frames. Outside: balcony railings, balcony fascias and the soffits underneath them, plus the external doors to the common areas. The old green scheme was taken back to charcoal and white. We also pressure washed the exterior and did the car park line marking.
Photos, the full scope of works and every colour and product used are on the project page.
Larger homes mean larger numbers: full interiors commonly $12,000–$30,000+, exteriors $15,000–$40,000+. Height, scaffold requirements and the extent of preparation are the main variables — we itemise all of it.
Coastal-rated systems over genuinely thorough preparation — salt washing, correct primers for each substrate, and rust treatment on any steel. Exposed elevations need re-coating sooner than sheltered ones, and we'll tell you which is which.
Yes, including scaffold and height access with the required safe work method statements. We give you a written program so you know what's happening each week.
Yes — NSW licence 254277C, ABN 48 380 838 464, full public liability and workers comp, 5-year written guarantee.
Yes. At our Camp Cove project the verandah timbers, balustrade, window frames and columns were stained and oiled, and all-new seat boards were fitted. Every timber restoration starts with a proper clean and sand rather than a coat over grey timber — see our deck and timber restoration page.
It depends on exposure. We'll tell you which elevations are exposed and which are sheltered, because exposed ones need re-coating sooner. Timber, trim and the north- and west-facing walls tend to wear out first, so repainting those on their own can stretch the interval on the rest. Our guide to how long exterior paint lasts near the beach has more.
Yes — heritage and sandstone homes are part of what we paint, and older homes get sensitive colour selection and careful preparation. Older lime render needs a breathable coating system rather than a sealed acrylic skin, and anything built before 1970 is tested for lead and handled to AS 4361.2 lead-safe practice.
See the standard of finish on a nearby job — Fisherman's Cottage, Camp Cove — or read our Sydney painting cost guide. How long a repaint lasts on your street is in how long exterior paint lasts near the beach.
